Reported Single Vehicle Car Crash in Devonshire [Updated]

Police responded to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision that took place on South Road in Devonshire 100 meters east of Tee Street a few minutes before 6pm.

It appears that a car was traveling east when the driver of the car lost control of his car and hit a utility pole. The driver then got out of the car and ran from the area. 

Presently BELCO is in the area working to restore power to the area.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who can assist in identifying the driver of the vehicle to contact police on 295-0011.

Update: Sunday, May 6th - Police are still appealing for witnesses after a reported single vehicle car crash that occurred around 6pm Saturday, May 5th on South Road in Devonshire near the junction with Tee Street.

It appears that the car involved, described as a white BMW, was being driven in the eastbound lane of South Road when the vehicle stuck a utility pole.

Apparently the male driver then got out of the car and fled on foot.

BELCO personnel attended the scene to repair the damaged utility pole.

Inquiries continue and anyone who can assist in identifying the driver of the car involved in this crash is asked to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.
