Reported Medical Emergency

Around 1:20pm Tuesday, March 6th police, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel and ambulance personnel responded to a reported medical emergency in the Court Street, Victoria Street Pembroke area.

It appears that a 94 year old Hamilton parish woman collapsed and was treated at the scene before being rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance.

At last check this morning (March 7th) she was listed in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.

Suspicious circumstances are not suspected but any witnesses are asked to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Single Vehicle Car Crash

Around 10:55am Tuesday, March 6th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle car crash in the Pitts Bay Road, Serpentine Road Pembroke area.

Apparently the driver, believed to be a 30 year old Devonshire man, suffered a medical issue prior to striking a wall, causing damage to the vehicle. The wall was not damaged.

Initial information suggested that he was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for medical assessment.

However, it now appears that the driver was cared for and assessed at the scene by EMTs but did not require hospital treatment.

Traffic was diverted away from the crash site for approximately an hour.
