Renewed Appeal for Unidentified Rider: Antoine Seaman Road Fatality

To date, the as yet unidentified motorcyclist discovered on CCTV footage riding alongside 21 year old Antoine Seaman – just prior to the fatal collision involving a police vehicle that claimed his life, which occurred around 1:50am Monday, April 15th on Somerset Road in Sandys parish near Wilson Place – has not come forward.

A thorough investigation continues and the Bermuda Police Service renews the urgent appeal for that rider, or anyone who knows the identity of that individual, to come forward.

Driver Recovering in Hospital: Single Vehicle Car Crash in St. George’s

Around 1:40pm Monday, April 29th police and fellow first responders attended a reported single vehicle car crash on Mullet Bay Road in St. George’s near the junction with Stokes Point Road.

It appears that the car was being driven east along Mullet Bay Road when it struck a wall.

The driver, said to be an 87 year old St. George’s man, was hurt and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check this morning (April 30th) he remained in hospital.

There were some traffic delays in the area until the damaged car was towed from the scene.

Inquiries continue and any witnesses are asked to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Motorcyclist Stable on General Ward After Collision With Car in Flatts

Around 8pm Sunday, April 28th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision involving a car and a motorcycle that occurred at the junction of Middle Road and Harrington Sound Road in the Flatts area of Smith’s parish.

It now appears that the motorcyclist and the car were traveling in opposite directions on Middle Road when the car driver attempted to turn on to Harrington Sound Road.

The rider, said to be a 24 year old Smith’s parish man, was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of head and facial injuries.

He was admitted to a general ward and at last check this morning (April 30th) continued to recover on that ward in stable condition.

Apparently the driver and front seat passenger of the car involved – said to be an 81 year old St. George’s man and an 83 year old Smith’s parish woman respectively – were not hurt. However, both vehicles were damaged.

Traffic was diverted for approximately two and a half hours while the scene was processed.
