Renewed Appeal: Road Fatality of 21 Year Old Antoine Seaman

The investigation regarding the fatal collision involving a police vehicle that claimed the life of 21 year old Antoine Seaman and occurred around 1:50am Monday, April 15th on Somerset Road in Sandys parish – near the junction with Wilson Place – continues.

The investigating officer, Sergeant Dorian Astwood of the Roads Policing Unit, is renewing the appeal for witnesses as well as anyone who can help identify the last movements of Mr. Seaman from 11pm Sunday, April 14th until 1:50am Monday, April 15th.

In particular, inquiries have confirmed that a second motorcyclist was riding with Mr. Seaman and would likely have been present at the time of the fatal collision.

The rider of that motorcycle – as well as members of the public with relevant information – are urged to call Sergeant Astwood on 247-1009 or 717-0849 at the earliest opportunity.

Motorcyclist Hurt in Collision Monday Now Stable on a General Ward

At last check this afternoon (April 16th) the 21 year old male motorcyclist hurt in a collision with a car around 7:55am Monday, April 15th on North Shore Road in Devonshire – at the junction with Loyal Hill Road – was recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.

Apparently the car driver involved, said to be a 29 year old Warwick woman, was not hurt.

It appears that the collision occurred as the motorcyclist was traveling west along North Shore Road and the car driver was attempting to exit Loyal Hill Road on to North Shore Road.
