Police & Fire Service Investigators Continue Inquiries Into House Fire

The Bermuda Police Service and the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service continue to investigate the circumstances of a fire that occurred around 5:20pm Thursday, November 1st at a Scott’s Hill Road, Sandys parish residence, where a 66 year old man’s lifeless body was found.

The scene has been processed by the relevant police personnel and identification of the deceased is anticipated in due course.

BPS Recognises Deputy Commissioner Paul Wright’s 34 Year Career

The Commissioner of Police Mr. Stephen Corbishley, on behalf of the men and women of the Bermuda Police Service, takes this opportunity to acknowledge Deputy Commissioner of Police Paul Wright on his retirement from the Bermuda Police Service later today – after a dedicated 34 year career.

Mr. Wright came to Bermuda from the UK after serving 6 years with the Humberside Police and has served in a wide variety of policing posts locally such as Community Policing, Criminal Investigations, Special Branch, Intelligence and Serious Crime.

A successor will be announced in due course and the Bermuda Police Service wishes Mr. Wright all the best in his future endeavours.
