No Major Incidents of Anti-Social Behaviour Reported Over Halloween

Police officers conducted high visibility patrols throughout the island during Halloween and overnight, responding to various calls for service. However, there were no significant incidents of anti-social behaviour reported.

79 Year Old Female Pedestrian Struck by Taxi on Cobbs Hill Road

Around 8pm Wednesday, October 31st police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported collision involving a pedestrian on Cobbs Hill Road in Warwick near the junction with the Railway Trail.

It appears that a 79 year old Warwick woman was crossing the road to attend Cobbs Hill Gospel Chapel when she was struck by a taxi driven along Cobbs Hill Road.

The injured pedestrian was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance and at last check this morning (November 1st) was listed in stable condition on a general ward. There were no other injuries reported.

The taxi driver, said to be a 52 year old Paget woman, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. Inquiries continue and any witnesses are asked to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Three Men Arrested in Connection With a Drug Related Matter

Police are investigating a drug related incident that took place on Tuesday (October 30th). Three men have been arrested in connection with this matter and inquiries continue.

Inquiries Underway After 29 Year Old Man Injured in Hamilton Parish

Inquiries are underway regarding an incident that apparently occurred in the Blue Hole Hill, Hamilton parish area near the Grotto Bay Beach Resort entrance between 2am and 4am today (November 1st).

Details are limited at this time. However, a 29 year old man said to be from Warwick was found injured at that location and transported to hospital via ambulance.

At last check he was in stable condition. Any witnesses or persons that saw suspicious activity in the area are asked to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.
