Around 2:45am Sunday, June 23rd a reported single vehicle motorcycle crash occurred on Crow Lane in Pembroke in the vicinity of the north round-a-bout.

Details are still emerging. However, it appears that the 22 year old male motorcyclist involved was traveling out of the City of Hamilton along Crow Lane when he struck the kerb near Corkscrew Hill.

The rider sustained multiple injuries – including head injuries – and was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance.

At last check he was expected to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.

An update on his medical condition is anticipated in due course.

Traffic diversions were in effect for over two hours while the scene was processed.

Update: Monday, June 24th - At last check this morning (June 24th) the 22 year old male motorcyclist seriously injured in a single vehicle motorcycle crash that occurred around 2:45am Sunday, June 23rd on Crow Lane in Pembroke was listed in critical condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
