Motorcyclist Hurt in Paget Collision Sunday Night Recovering [Updated]

A 30 year old male motorcyclist hurt in a collision with a car around 10:15pm Sunday, May 27th on Point Finger Road in Paget was recovering in hospital this morning.

It appears that the car driver and motorcycle rider were traveling in the same direction when the collision occurred outside the entrance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The rider involved, believed to be from Pembroke, ended up under the car and was extricated by Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel.

Although his injuries were initially thought to be serious, after medical assessment they are now deemed non-life threatening and he is expected to be discharged in due course.

Traffic diversions were in effect in the area for approximately two hours while the relevant police personnel processed the scene.

There were no other injuries reported and inquiries continue.

Update: Tuesday, May 29th - At last check this morning (May 29th) the 30 year old male motorcyclist hurt in a collision with a car around 10:15pm Sunday, May 27th on Point Finger Road in Paget had been treated and discharged from the hospital.

Motorcyclist Injured in Sandys Parish Crash Stable on General Ward

At last check this morning (May 28th) the 54 year old male motorcyclist injured after crashing into a wall around 9pm Thursday, May 24th on Middle Road in Sandys parish near the junction with Wreck Road was listed in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.

He was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving following the crash.
