Male Rental Scooter Rider Critical in ICU After St. George’s Crash

Around 10:50pm Sunday, June 24th police and fellow first responders attended a reported single vehicle rental scooter crash on Wellington Slip Road in St. George’s.

It appears that the rental scooter rider – believed to be a 44 year old St. George’s man – struck a low wall before continuing on to an area of grass near the roadside where he struck a metal post.

The 44 year old man sustained a serious leg injury and was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

At last check this morning (June 25th) he was listed in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.

The rental scooter involved has been impounded as inquiries continue.

Injured Pedal Cyclist Remains Critical in the Intensive Care Unit

At last check this morning (June 25th) the 66 year old male pedal cycle rider – believed to be from Devonshire – seriously injured in a collision with a motorcyclist around 11:50pm Saturday, June 23rd on Middle Road in Devonshire near the junction with Vesey Street remained in critical condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, while the 46 year old male motorcycle rider hurt – believed to be from Hamilton parish – was recovering in stable condition on a general ward after receiving non-life threatening leg injuries.

The pedal cycle and motorcycle involved were impounded following the collision.
