Ten motorists were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving over the Cup Match holiday weekend, with road sobriety checkpoints conducted in eight parishes from the evening of Thursday, August 1st until the evening of Sunday, August 4th.

There are no road sobriety checkpoints scheduled for this coming weekend.

However, members of the public are urged not to drive, ride or operate a boat under the influence – for their own safety and that of all road users as well as those navigating our waters.

Female Rider Stable on a General Ward After Causeway Bridge Crash

At last check this afternoon (August 5th) the 38 year old female rider injured in a single vehicle motorcycle crash that occurred around 7:50am Wednesday, July 31st on the Causeway Bridge in St. George’s – near the L. F. Wade International Airport – was listed in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.
