Four Men Injured in Two Vehicle St. John’s Road Collision [Updated]

Around 7:50pm Tuesday, October 17th police and first responders were dispatched to‎ a reported two vehicle collision on St. John's Road in Pembroke near the junction with Tatems Hill involving a truck and a car.

The truck driver, believed to be a 41 year old man, was injured as well as the car driver, believed to be a 21 year old man and his passengers, believed to be two 22 year old men.

All four individuals are being treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

At last check the car driver and truck driver were said to have less serious injuries while the car’s two passengers sustained injuries that may be more serious.

Traffic was diverted away from the area for approximately three hours while the relevant police personnel processed the scene.

Update: At last check earlier this afternoon (October 18th) the three male occupants of the car involved in a two vehicle collision that occurred around 7:50pm Tuesday, October 17th on St. John's Road in Pembroke near the junction with Tatems Hill continued to receive treatment at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, while the 41 year old male from Pembroke that drove the truck involved had been treated and discharged.

Of the three men still in hospital, the 21 year old car driver from Pembroke was anticipated to be admitted to a general ward later today – while his passengers, a 22 year old Pembroke man and a 22 year old Warwick man, were in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit and in stable condition on a general ward respectively.
