Four Men Arrested in Connection With Confirmed Firearm Incident

Detectives continue to investigate a confirmed firearm incident that occurred around 9:50pm Saturday, September 14th on Court Street in the City of Hamilton, near the junction with Elliot Street – where a lone gunman is understood to have opened fire at a group of men outside Spinning Wheel entertainment complex before fleeing the area.

There were no reported injuries and the scene has been processed by the relevant police personnel.

Four men were arrested Sunday afternoon (September 15th) in connection with this confirmed firearm incident and remain in police custody at this time.

Investigators are aware that there were several individuals in the Court Street, Elliot Street area at the time the shots were fired and encourage those persons, or anyone whose personal property was damaged, to come forward.

Rider Seriously Hurt After Collision With Car Recovering in Hospital

The investigation into a reported serious two vehicle collision that occurred around 1:45am Saturday, September 14th at the junction of Cedar Avenue, St. John’s Road and Marsh Folly Road in Pembroke continues.

At last check the 29 year old male motorcyclist involved remained in hospital receiving treatment for injuries that are understood to be serious but not life threatening.

The 34 year old male driver of the car involved – who was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving following the collision – has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Reported Two Vehicle Collision in Southampton Saturday Night

Around 8:45pm Saturday, September 14th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on South Road in Southampton near Harbour View Drive.

It appears that a car was being driven west on South Road and a motorcyclist was traveling in the opposite direction when the collision occurred in the vicinity of the entrance to Fairmont Southampton resort.

The rider involved, said to be a 65 year old Warwick man, was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of injuries that are understood to be non-life threatening.

He was later arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and then released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The driver of the car, said to be a 61 year old Southampton man, was not hurt.

Both vehicles involved were damaged.
