First Road Fatality for 2021

At 8:55am on Monday, 4th January 2021 police attended the scene of a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle which occurred on Middle Road, Southampton near Jews Bay.

On arrival an unconscious 28-year-old male was found lying in the road. CPR was commenced and the male rider was conveyed by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where regrettably he succumbed to his injuries.

The Bermuda Police Service would like to extend heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of this young man. 

A Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to assist the deceased’s loved ones at this tragic time and no further information regarding his identity will be provided until the next of kin have been notified.

The crash scene was processed by the relevant police personnel and a full investigation regarding the circumstances of the first road fatality of the year continues.
