Elderly Female Pedestrian Struck By Car on Dundonald Street [Updated]

Please be advised, an 86 year old pedestrian was knocked down outside of Masters in the City of Hamilton. Traffic has been diverted from the area whilst the scene is being processed. Condition of the pedestrian is unknown at this time.

Update: The 86 year old lady was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. Dundonald Street is now re-opened to traffic.

Update: Thursday, November 22nd - Around 5:50pm Wednesday, November 21st police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Dundonald Street in the City of Hamilton.

It appears that an 86 year old Pembroke woman was attempting to cross the road outside Masters Limited when she was struck by a car being driven past the store. 

She was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of her injuries and at last check this morning (November 22nd) was recovering in stable condition on a general ward.

Apparently the incident did not occur on the marked pedestrian crossing.
