Around 8pm Thursday, May 23rd police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle car crash on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, near the junction with Cottage Hill Road.

It appears that the car was being driven in the eastbound lane of North Shore Road when it struck a wall and overturned, damaging a section of the wall.

Apparently both the driver, said to be a 36 year old Hamilton parish woman and front seat passenger, said to be a 41 year old Canadian man, sustained minor injuries.

The driver was later arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.

By approximately 9:35pm Thursday, the scene had been processed, the damaged car towed away and traffic flow in the area had returned to normal.

Inquiries continue and any witnesses are asked to call Constable Stephen Allen on the main police telephone number 295-0011.
