Confirmed Firearm Incident in Warwick: No Reported Injuries

Around 10:40pm Tuesday, March 26th several 911 calls were received reporting gunshots in the Spring Hill, Warwick area. Police officers responded to the neighbourhood and did not find anyone injured – but subsequently confirmed that a firearm had been discharged.

Inquiries are underway and witnesses or anyone with any information – particularly area residents that may have observed any suspicious activity in the vicinity of Bright Temple A.M.E. Driver Stable on General Ward After Smith’s Parish Car Crash

Around 10:15am Tuesday, March 26th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle car crash on South Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Pampas Road.

It appears that the car driver involved, said to be an 85 year old Smith’s parish woman, was travelling east on South Road when she struck a wall.

The driver was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for medical assessment and at last check this morning (March 27th) was listed in stable condition on a general ward.

The car was damaged and temporary traffic diversions were in effect for approximately an hour following the crash.
