At 1:30pm on Thursday, July 26 Police executed a search warrant at a St. Augustine Road, Pembroke residence (near the junction of Parsons Road and Glebe Road). As a result three men, a 19 year old Pembroke man, a 20 year old Devonshire man and a 53 year old Warwick man were arrested and a quantity of suspected narcotics & cash were seized. Inquiries into this matter are ongoing.

New Video Identification System

The Bermuda Police Service will be formally introducing the new PROMAT Video Identification process as an additional method of witnesses identifying a suspect as of Wednesday, August 1st. There are a total of 22,000 volunteer images on the system which includes some 470 local Bermudians. This will drastically improve the time taken to organize such a procedure and save Police resources in trying to organize a line-up parade.

Advisory – Washington Street Bus Terminal

The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the motoring public that officers will be monitoring the Washington Street, City of Hamilton Bus Terminal area for any traffic related offences which may occur. This initiative will take place over the next few weeks, particularly during peak traffic periods.

Motorists should be aware that there are parking restrictions on Washington Street and that the street is primarily for the use of Government buses.
