Burglary

Tue, 2008-01-22

At 2:30pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Glebe Road, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8:55am and 2:20pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry and cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 11:45pm on Monday, Police attended a reported robbery on Cherry Dale Road in Smiths parish. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 31 year old Smiths parish woman, who stated that around 11:30pm she was traveling east on South Road in Smiths parish on her auxiliary cycle when she noticed two unknown men on a motorcycle following her.

Around 10:30pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Whitney Avenue West, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between Friday and 10pm on Sunday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while he was overseas. The culprit stole a 42” Toshiba flat screen TV. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Vehicle Overboard

Sat, 2008-01-19

Around 6:55 this morning, Police received a report of a submerged vehicle at Somerset Bridge dock. Details of how the car, a silver Ford Focus, ended up overboard are unclear at this time; however the driver, a 31 year old Sandys parish man, was subsequently located and arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. He was taken to Hamilton Police Station where he failed the alco-analyser test.

Robbery

Thu, 2008-01-17

Around 5:10pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a robbery on Fort Hamilton Drive in Pembroke. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, an 82 year old Pembroke man, who stated that around 4:20pm he picked up a fare on Front Street. The unknown man asked to be taken to Fort Hamilton. Once the taxi arrived at Fort Hamilton, the suspect asked to be taken on to Fort Hamilton Drive.

Arrests

Thu, 2008-01-17

In the early hours of this morning the Bermuda Police Service executed a search warrant at a Pembroke residence. As a result, a 22 year old Pembroke man was arrested in connection with the attempted murders on Christmas Day & Boxing Day and the Boxing Day murder of Aquil Richardson; meantime, a 26 year old Pembroke man was arrested at the same residence on suspicion of possessing controlled drugs with intent to supply.
