Around 6:55 this morning, Police received a report of a submerged vehicle at Somerset Bridge dock. Details of how the car, a silver Ford Focus, ended up overboard are unclear at this time; however the driver, a 31 year old Sandys parish man, was subsequently located and arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. He was taken to Hamilton Police Station where he failed the alco-analyser test.
Around 5:10pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a robbery on Fort Hamilton Drive in Pembroke. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, an 82 year old Pembroke man, who stated that around 4:20pm he picked up a fare on Front Street. The unknown man asked to be taken to Fort Hamilton. Once the taxi arrived at Fort Hamilton, the suspect asked to be taken on to Fort Hamilton Drive.
In the early hours of this morning the Bermuda Police Service executed a search warrant at a Pembroke residence. As a result, a 22 year old Pembroke man was arrested in connection with the attempted murders on Christmas Day & Boxing Day and the Boxing Day murder of Aquil Richardson; meantime, a 26 year old Pembroke man was arrested at the same residence on suspicion of possessing controlled drugs with intent to supply.
At 1:05pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Park Hill, Warwick residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 7:30am and 1pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a 42” Panasonic flat screen TV, a Sony digital camcorder, a JVC camcorder, a quantity of cash, an I-Pod and a quantity of alcohol.
At 2:45 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at a Cedar Hill, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that around 2:20am he was awoken by noises inside the home. When he went to investigate, he discovered an unknown culprit had gained entry and stole a wallet containing a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
At 4:05pm on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a New Park Lane, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 12:30pm and 3:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her apartment while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a white I-Pod, a cellular phone and 5 DVDs. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
