Recent media reports indicate that Police are looking for suspects regarding an armed robbery incident which is alleged to have occurred on Friday of last week.
I am here to inform you that this is not the case, in addition to giving some insight into what actually occurred and to make an appeal for the public’s assistance.

Recent media reports indicate that Police are looking for suspects regarding an armed robbery incident which is alleged to have occurred on Friday of last week.
I am here to inform you that this is not the case, in addition to giving some insight into what actually occurred and to make an appeal for the public’s assistance.
Around 2:30pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported robbery at Elroys Laundromat in Pembroke. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 45 year old Pembroke woman, who stated that around 2:10pm that day she was working at the premises when an unknown man entered and asked her to change a $10 note.
Around 5:20pm on Friday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Broken Hill Lane, Smiths parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime earlier that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a DVD player as well as a quantity of cash and jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
At 6:35pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Sayle Road, Smiths parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 10am and 5:50pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. It is unknown if anything was taken. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
