Injury RTC

Sat, 2009-01-31

At 3:20pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Knapton Hill and Harrington Hundreds Road in Smith's parish involving an SUV and an auxiliary cycle. It appears that the SUV was traveling north on Harrington Hundreds Road and the auxiliary cycle was traveling east on Knapton Hill when the vehicles collided at the junction. The rider of the cycle, a 16 year old Paget man, sustained lacerations to his right hand, right leg and abdomen. The driver of the SUV, a 34 year old Smith's parish woman, was not injured. The cycle was extensively damaged while the SUV received moderate front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Impaired Driving

At 2 this morning Police were on duty in the area of the Esso City Service Center in Pembroke. While there, a Police officer observed a male driver having difficulty maneuvering his car out of a parking space on the premises. The officer attempted to stop the driver to find out if he was OK, but the man drove off. With the assistance of another Police vehicle the car was made to stop on Woodlands Road and the driver, a 27 year old St. George’s man, was spoken to. The St. George’s man appeared to be intoxicated and was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. He was then taken to Hamilton Police Station where he was detained after failing the alco-analyser test.

Assault

Around 3pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of an assault at Par-La-Ville Park in Pembroke. It appears that around 2:15pm that day the victim, a 21 year old Sandy’s parish man, was walking through the park when he was approached by two young men and a young woman.

Disturbance at Par-La-Ville Park

Around 3pm today, Police received a report of an assault at Par-La-Ville Park in Pembroke. Details about the incident are unclear at the moment; however, a 23 year old Devonshire man was arrested in connection with the matter. Inquiries are ongoing.

Injury RTC/Impaired Driving

Around 1:25 this morning, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Devonshire, near the junction with Tribe Road #2 involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the car was traveling west on North Shore Road and the motorcycle was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided.

Injury RTC/Impaired Driving

Around 12:40 this morning, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Harbour Road in Paget, near the junction with Chapel Road. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling east on Harbour Road when the rider, a 31 year old Hamilton parish man, lost control and fell to the ground.
