Fatal RTC - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 38 year old Emmanuel Sousa of Pembroke. Around 10:40pm on Sunday, Police received a report of a serious road traffic collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Twin Lanes South involving a motorcycle and a car. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling west on North Shore Road and the car was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 38 year old Pembroke man, received serious head injuries and was rushed to KEMH via ambulance; however, he was later pronounced dead at 11:30pm on Sunday.

Around 10:40pm on Sunday, Police received a report of a serious road traffic collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Twin Lanes South involving a motorcycle and a car. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling west on North Shore Road and the car was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 38 year old Pembroke man, received serious head injuries and was rushed to KEMH via ambulance; however, he was later pronounced dead at 11:30pm on Sunday. The driver of the car, a 23 year old Hamilton parish man, was not injured. The car received front end damage while the motorcycle was extensively damaged.

Fire - Around 6:40pm on Friday, Police attended a reported fire at a Friswells Road, Devonshire residence. On arrival officers observed the Bermuda Fire Service at the scene extinguishing the fire. Actual damage was confined to one room while there was smoke damage to the rest of the apartment; however there were no reported injuries. There does not appear to be any suspicious circumstance. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary
Around 11:25pm on Friday, Police received a report of a burglary at a South Road, Paget residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 7pm and 10:50pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Robbery - At 1:10am today (Friday), Police attended a reported robbery on Woodlands Road in Pembroke. On arrival officers spoke with the victims, a 40 year old Pembroke man and a 53 year old Devonshire man. They stated that around 12:40am they were walking along Woodlands Road towards Bulls Head car park when two unknown men on a motorcycle approached them. The suspects assaulted the victims with crash helmets, took a quantity of cash from them and then made good their escape. Both the 40 year old Pembroke man and the 53 year old Devonshire man were taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of their injuries.

At 1:10am today, Police attended a reported robbery on Woodlands Road in Pembroke. On arrival officers spoke with the victims, a 40 year old Pembroke man and a 53 year old Devonshire man. They stated that around 12:40am they were walking along Woodlands Road towards Bulls Head car park when two unknown men on a motorcycle approached them. The suspects assaulted the victims with crash helmets, took a quantity of cash from them and then made good their escape. Both the 40 year old Pembroke man and the 53 year old Devonshire man were taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of their injuries. The Pembroke man remains at the hospital receiving treatment for facial injuries, while the Devonshire man was treated for his injuries and later released.
Update - Injury RTC on Granaway Lane

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating the van involved in a road traffic collision with an 11 year old Southampton boy (pedestrian) on Granaway Lane in Southampton around 7:25am Wednesday. The vehicle and its driver have now been found and identified. After dialogue with the driver, a 27 year old Southampton man and the boy’s parents, the matter has been resolved with no further Police action necessary.
