Around 6:15pm on Friday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Cedar Avenue in Pembroke near the junction with Dundonald Street involving a truck and an auxiliary cycle. Details about how the collision occurred are unclear; however the rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 17 year old St. George's woman, sustained a contusion to her head. She was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of her injury, which is not believed to be life threatening. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Marine Flare Exercise

The Marine Police Unit would like to advise members of the public that they will be conducting a marine flare exercise on Friday 12th December between 11am & 12 noon in the Great Sound (weather permitting). Both hand held red locator flares and red distress parachute flares will be used during the exercise and will be launched from the Police vessel ‘Guardian’.

Bermuda Radio (RCC Bermuda) has also been made aware of this scheduled exercise.
